Every year I get the opportunity to photograph the Lincoln Grand Prix. A cycle race that’s part of the HSBC British Cycling National Road Series, which is a series of races that tours the country with each race giving points that go towards an overall title at the end. Read my blog and see the photographs from the event….
“Art is everything you can sense plus whatever craps in your head” …reads the back of one of the protester’s jackets as he listens to a poem read out to the supporters on the steps of the Usher Gallery in Lincoln. The end of a protest march up Lincoln’s High St to oppose the councils plans to change a large part of the Usher Gallery.
This week I had the opportunity to take a look at the new Luminarium: Qodlumin, a unique temporary structure that tours the globe giving an out of this world experience to visitors. Find out how I photographed it and the challenges I faced in the alien inflatable environment.
This is an alternative angle of Lincoln 10k run to that which I photographed simultaneously for The Lincolnite. It’s a more raw view of what happened and focuses more on emotional side of the runners taking on the challenge of the 10k. Captured from a documentary approach, this gallery shows the moments I saw unfold that were too subtle and would feel out of place in a gallery on a news website.
